We tend to be impressed by someone we watch in a TV add or on the front page of a magazine , we tell ourselves “He is so good looking ” “she is so rich ” “I wish I was like him ” “ I wish …..” . What we dont understand is that those people we compare ourselves against are either trained in the field you see them excelling in or are already nicely endowed with those skills , physical features or any other quality you envy upon .

When you see a girl of your age in a Advertisement , and you think she looks too pretty , you might sometimes tell yourself “I wish i was like her ” and sometimes “ She is so great , while I am so ugly ” . You start to believe that the world has many people who are endowed with the qualities you see in them and envy upon , you GENERALIZE their existence or their appearance with population’s majority ,but you dont understand that their appearance in those advertisements , videos , magazines , or in other places are by SELECTION from the population . That pretty girl is selected from the population and nicely groomed and made ready for the advertisement , she spends most of her time on her beautification , that’s how she makes a living , you needn’t be like her , you have other qualities , work on them .

World judges people in the long term by skillsets and not by initial appearances (which mostly has role in impression ) separate impression from judgement , people are temporarily impressed by a single quality while people judge by the whole set of qualities and skills inside of you . DONT GENERALIZE THEIR SELECTION ,
